Research at the Laboratory of BioChemistry is balanced between fundamental and applied science. ESPCI Paris-PSL strongly supports innovation. We aim to benefit from and contribute to this exceptional environment.

Industry Partnerships

We have many partnerships ongoing with industrial partners working on single cells or molecules analyses. Collaboration occurs through research contracts, common public-funded R&D projects, shared staff, CIFRE PhD students.

Spin-offs

Prof. Andrew Griffiths co-founded RainDance Technologies Inc. with Jérôme Bibette and David Weitz in 2005, bought by BioRad in 2017.

In 2013 and 2014 he co-founded HiFiBiO Therapeutics and Biomillenia (now Design Pharmaceuticals) with David Weitz, Jérôme Bibette, Robert Nicol and Bradley Bernstein.

In 2017 he co-founded Cyprio with Jérôme Bibette.

In 2020, he co-founded Minos Biosciences with Patrick Tabeling, Aurélien de Reyniès, Jérome Cros, Yannick Rondelez, Hubert Geisler and Gaël Blivet.

In 2024 he co-founded Brink Therapeutics with Harry Kemble and Jonathan Naccache.
